Restylane

To prevent bruising, avoid aspirin, Non-Steriodal Anti-inflammatorys (Aleve, Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin), Omega’s (fish oil), Vitamin E & St. John’s Wort two weeks prior to injection. Please avoid alcohol for 48 hours prior to treatment. Prophylactic antivirals (Zovirax, Valtrex, Famvir) are recommended if you have a history of cold sores. Neocutis Prevedem , which can be purchased in the office can be used twice daily for the two weeks prior to the injection to prevent bruising. Also, Auriderm gel may be used after the procedure to shorten the healing process. We recommend to please not have any special occasions one week after filler due to the possibility of bruising.
